Living in a strange country can be fun and unnerving at the same time. This is especially true if the person is a student. As I found out at the site, this blog is about an exchange student life in South Korea where he lived a worry-free Year 2007. The author also posts pre-Korea entries, which are all hot and spicy like Kimchi. You see, Elliot, a senior student at the University of the Philippines. He had been an exchange was a one year student in Daejeon University, South Korea under the auspices of ASEAN University Network. It seems like he had enjoyed his stay there and learned a lot of stuff as a student. This blog turned out to be fun, entertaining and informative. I have never ran across this type of blog before, but I am glad that I did. The articles which Elliot has written are very enjoyable to read and he seems to write very well. So, if you want to get a glimpse of what a person who had spent some time in South Korea as a student, then you can give this site a try. It contains a lot of topics and I hope you find them as interesting and fun as I did. Give this site a try.

Podworks - A cool site
Sometimes one runs into sites which were indented for a different purpose, but ended up being used in a much better manner. This website is a blog about everything and I am quiet sure that you will find it very entertaining and informative. It is a very well laid out site with pleasing and soothing colors. It contains such a wide variety of topics that I was simply stunned. But the plus point of this site is that it is written in a easy to understand way and gives out the necessary information in just the right way. The author of this site seems to be a good writer and one who can express his thoughts clearly. I think his site is one of the best which I have visited recently. I am really glad that he turned this site into what it is now. It has a little bit of everything which makes it a site which hopefully others will find it as enjoyable as I did. So visit now. Take a look. Hope you like it as much as I did.

Brand new find
It seems like I am always on the net surfing for a new topic or blog to read. After searching for what seemed like ages, I ran across this really interesting well written blog which really caught my attention. What really made me damn curious and drew my attention was when someone mentioned gothic otaku girl learning japanese. It seems that she is an artist and geek, working in the information technology field for 20 years now, and also trying to stay politically active. The posts which she has written might seem small, but are very well written and cover a wide variety of subjects. This might be due to the fact the author of this blog is an otaku, designer, photographer, idealist, antagonist, poet, programmer, hobbyist, and much more. It is a must visit site, so full of information and posts of different kinds. It is kinda difficult nowadays to find good quality blogs to visit. I do not really know how I did not notice this fantastic blog before.

Coasters or no use
No matter which table I choose to drink my cup of coffee, I always make sure that I have a coaster handy. It does not matter how careful a person is, those ugly rings always manage to appear and ruin the look of the table. Before, I was not really caring about it and ended up with a table which had a lot of coffee stains on it. then one day, I went to a handicraft show which was being held in a near by and I saw this set of really beautiful set of coasters which I thought I must have. These are small wooden square shaped, black in color with gold trimmings, and a really nice decorative tree in the middle. I got a set of 6 coasters for the dining table. But, I am using it just about every where. Sometimes, they get misplaced and I have to hunt around searching for them. They are also good decoration items and the guests really seem to love them and sometimes they are good conversation items where there is nothing else to talk about.

Is blood thicker than water in politics?
Its election time in many areas, so this question really got me all worked up. What if your uncle was running for the post of president or some other post? You have known him all your life and you seriously do doubt his ability to run the country. Even if the whole family is supporting him, would you vote for him? Well for me it does not matter if one of my relative has thrown his hat in the ring. He won’t get my automatic vote just because he is related to me, even if he is on good terms with me. A president’s job is just too important. After taking a long hard look at all the choices, I would vote for the most qualified candidate even if he was an independent. He should be able to think on his feet and offer good, sound judgements which everyone is willing to obey. If I have my doubts about a relative’s capabilities, then I will not for him. What I am implying is that one should not go by who is related to whom when making decisions which affects a lot of people. These decisions should be based on cold hard facts. The best man/woman should get the position.

The handy connector
If you ever have been in one of those crazy situations where there are numerous wires to connect and you just do not know where to start. Don’t you simply find it frustrating to go around from shop to shop searching for that wire, in vain?
Well, look no further and no more need to worry. A company called L-com has just launch the new DB25 connector. It has a screw terminal back for easy wiring. This new DB25 connector is convenient and provides an easy way to perform field termination of any DB25 cable. It has separate connection points for all 25 positions of the connector plus the ground. Its terminal block is clearly marked which allows for simple and quick wiring changes. The gold plated contact of the DB25 provides reliable connections with repeated mating cycles and is panel mountable for thickness up to 0.062”. The fact that no special tools are required is what makes it most convenient for field applications. For further information, you can refer to the press release to find out more on this really handy connector.

What we should learn from others
When people pool their strengths for each other's benefit with no ulterior motives great things are learned. I guess I learned a lot from my elders. Both of my parents were working parents and struggled for us to survive and to make ends meet. I learned that people should give each other strength and help each other to solve whatever problem that may arise. Their will always be trials and hardships that people will have to face. Therefore, a person should be very strong to face the hardest trial that life throws their way. Therefore, I guess I can say that my parents were influential in instilling courage, perseverance, self-discipline, being goal oriented, and kindness towards others, responsible behaviour and for being risk taker. We should go thru trials in life and with the positive attitude. We should always find time to bond and share laughter with each other at the end of the hard day! I think what I am trying to say is that we should learn and pick up the positive attributes from others. Plus a healthy dose of good moral and ethics and the points that were mentioned above will help a person face any challenge that comes his/her way. A person does not need to reinvent the wheel all the time but he/she can apply the wisdom of those whom have come before you. Never hesitate to take guidance from others.

Relief in sight
Heard you heard of the term Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? How many of you all really know this disease named carpal tunnel syndrome really is? This is not the first time I heard the term, and I had completely forgotten all about it until just recently. So I thought …why not browse the net and gather some detailed information on this subject.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can be defined as a medical condition in which the median nerve is compressed at the wrist, leading to pain, paresthesias and muscle weakness in the forearm and hand. In other words, the sufferers are not able to work for long hours because of the pain and muscle weakness in the forearm and hand. Sad to say, most cases are without known cause. Prolonged repetitive use of the area by activities like computer usage for blogging, data entry, games, etc. may to lead to such disorder.
The person who is suffering from this disease cannot even lift light items or participate in any activity.
There are many treatments to cure Carpal Tunnel Syndrome like physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage and more. The much better option to alleviate Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is to get the smart glove from IMAK. The Smart Glove is one of the products developed by IMAK for carpal tunnel relief. It helps to relieve wrist pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, tendinitis, tennis elbow or even pain in the back, neck by encouraging proper hand and wrist position. Some of the features of SmartGlove include washable, breathable cotton, flexible support flint and a massaging ergoBeads pad. Thus we can see that there is a lot of potential for SmartGlove which can be used day long at work or even while blogging to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. So go out and share this valuable information with others.
