Lars Ulrich can be credited to giving Metallica life as a group. I guess it all started out when he gave an advertisement looking for members in forming a new group which led to its formation. His first drum kit he got was from his grandmother at the of age 15 and since then he has pounded out some excellent stuff. Before forming Metallica, Lars Ulrich was following a group called DiamondHead through out Europe. Hey did you know that he occasionally tackled the singing duties for 'Am I Evil.' Some of his favorite foods, places and drinks are: to eat Taco Bell is his favorite food joint. The foods which he simply loves : cheese, mayonnaise and French food and some of his favorite drinks are: Coors Light and Bombay Sapphire Gin Martinis. He is married to a doctor. His wife's name is Skylar, and they have one son whose name is Myles. He is an avid an art collector, while a few of the activities which he likes to participate in are: scuba diving, skiing, movies, a bit of jogging to keep in shape. The sport teams which Lars follows are: San Jose Sharks, the 49ers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His musical career has been influenced by the following major groups: DiamondHead, Motorhead, Deep Purple. He simply loved the earlier stuff and it really influenced his playing style alot. He simply has alot of energy which helps him to pound away for hours. He has an excellent attitude which messes quiet well with the group. Lars can play the soft light stuff as well as the heavier hard hitting stuff with ease.
