The stunned passengers at Queenstown Airport yesterday afternoon were greeted by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne when they arrived from Wellington on a scheduled domestic flight.
To help the couple avoid the excitement that might erupt inside the terminal once they had been sighted getting off the plane, the airport staff arranged for a chauffeur-driven silver Mercedes Benz on the tarmac to help them avoid the excitement. This way there is less distraction for all, since the Osbournes are very well known.
Osbourne played the Rock-2Wellington gig in the capital on Sunday night, taking the stage after fellow heavy metal acts POISON and WHITESNAKE. The previous night, Alice Cooper, Kiss, and Lordi had performed.
