ROB ZOMBIE Commences Work On New Studio Album

Rob Zombie has issued the following update:

Rob Zombie has written tons of stuff while the group was on their last tour, and they have started work on their their next full length studio albulm. Since the work for it has just started, it is too early to give a release date.
According to an interview in the Metal Edge magazine(March2008) Rob Zombie called the record labels "dinosaurs waiting to die", and they "all have a defeatist attitude. And that's why in another couple of years, they won't exist...They're just overpaid and lazy, and it's all crumbled around them. But the art is not going anywhere. You go out there, and there's more tours than ever, the shows are bigger than ever, the crowds are crazier than ever, the fans are younger than ever; there's no lack of demand for the music or the bands or anything. It's just that the record labels are these overstuffed, overpaid dinosaurs. They're gonna die. The music's not going anywhere". At a recent conference call he was not sure what future music distribution would look like. According to him downloads are really not that exciting. The main reason being is that you cannot walk up to someone and ask them to autograph your download.
Rob Zombie, who is also a feature film director, also thought that the problem with the record industry is that it tried to emulate the film business, and that these two businesses are quiet different. For the film business the opening weekend is very important...But with a record, you keep on working at it to push the sales.

"Tyrannosaurus Rex" his next live-action feature film is about a biker flick and not about dinosaurs, which is set for release on August 28, 2009. This follow his hit 2007 remake of the horror classic "Halloween" and his upcoming animated film, "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto".

Since he is an excellent entertainer, I am sure that you will enjoy his stuff. You will get more bang for your buck. So go out and watch his stuff and buy his new stuff when it's released. You are gonna love it I am sure.
